Sarwang Abhyanga is a gentle body massage on the forehead, head, neck, and shoulders so the medicated oil formulation on these parts of the body take effect. Hence, Abhyanga is an Ayurvedic massage therapy that works in two different processes following one another consecutively.
Shirodhara is a form of Ayurveda therapy that involves gently pouring liquids over the forehead and can be one of the steps involved in Panchakarma. The name comes from the Sanskrit words shiro (head) and dhara (flow).
Basti is mainly of two types. 1) Anuvasan Basti – Mainly contains only sesame or medicated oils .This is usually given in small amount like 60 to 100 ml 2) Asthapan or Niruha Basti – It contains other material in addition to oil like decoction, herbal paste, honey, etc. There few type of treatment given below:-
